Review: Reckless by S.C. Stephens

Genre: New Adult - Contemporary Romance

Series: Thoughtless (Book 3)

Publication Date: 5th March 2013

Format: ebook

Can love survive when life gets Reckless?

When the band hits it big, Kiera and Kellan must ask themselves: Can their love for each other survive the constant pressures of superstardom? The friendships they've formed, the new family they've found, and the history they've forged will all play a part in helping them navigate the turbulent waters of the band's exploding popularity. A greedy executive hell-bent on success, a declining pop star looking for an edge, and a media circus that twists lies into truths are just some of the obstacles the lovers will have to overcome if they are going to remain together. Fame comes with a price-but will it cost Kiera and Kellan everything?

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

My Thoughts:

This series has finally hot all the right buttons (and avoided hitting all the bad ones) to finally get a 5 out of 5 stars from me!

This book follows straight on from the events in Effortless so, once again, it's best to read book 1 and 2 first.

In Reckless Kellen and the D-Bags have hit it big and you can imagine all the drama that comes with loving a man-candy rockstar in the shape of Kellen Kyle! (That is if you've read the other books, if not the answer is LOTS!)
Thankfully, the drama in this book is caused by external sources and not by any idiocy from Kellen and Kiera. The pair of them were are solid throughout and It. Was. Awesome!!
I wanted to shout and scream and happy dance in joy at the fact that they finally got there! They are happy! I finally believed that the could make it, that they could last. It was all worth it!!

I enjoyed the growth from the characters, even Griffin! Denny and Miss Sunshine bugged me and are the only truly bits about this series that I can't suspend belief over but putting them aside... Perfect. Just perfect.

I've been stupefied by these three books for weeks now. I read them back to back then re-read my favourite bits a what felt like a million times. It's been a hell of a ride with a hell of a book hangover but I'd do it again!

I'm sad to see it end because I want more! But I'm excited for Thoughtful so I guess there is a silver lining... Even if it is a re-hash of a past book.
