Review: Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Genre: YA - Paranormal Romance - Angels/Demons

Series: The Dark Elements (Book 3)

Publication Date: 28th July 2015

Format: ebook

Blurb:
Some loves will last ’til your dying breath

Every choice has consequences—but seventeen-year-old Layla faces tougher choices than most. Light or darkness. Wickedly sexy demon prince Roth, or Zayne, the gorgeous, protective Warden she never thought could be hers. Hardest of all, Layla has to decide which side of herself to trust.

Layla has a new problem, too. A Lilin—the deadliest of demons—has been unleashed, wreaking havoc on those around her…including her best friend. To keep Sam from a fate much, much worse than death, Layla must strike a deal with the enemy while saving her city—and her race—from destruction.

Torn between two worlds and two different boys, Layla has no certainties, least of all survival, especially when an old bargain comes back to haunt them all. But sometimes, when secrets are everywhere and the truth seems unknowable, you have to listen to your heart, pick a side—and then fight like hell…

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

My Thoughts:

Oh. My. God!! What a conclusion to a fantastic series!! I can't... I just can't. I don't know where to begin with this book! It picked up immediately where Stone Cold Touch left us and it ended better than I could ever have hoped for!

Layla ended up with - in my opinion - the only guy for her; Roth was fangirly, swoon worthy, gorgeously fantastic! I was so happy that Zayne went bye bye but retained some dignity and that there was hints of him possibly moving on. (Or was it just me imagining him with Laylas girly BFF?)

The action was great, the story moved quickly but didn't skimp on the swoony feels moments. It had ups and downs, shocks and surprises (damn witches!) and it ended in a way that I didn't predict.

The only complaint I have is that the story is over and that I have to leave these characters and this world behind!

I can't recommend this series, or this author enough. If you like YA romance, you've got to read it. If you love paranormal romance, you've got to read it. If you LOVE YA, paranormal romance... YOU'VE GOT TO READ IT! Not to mention if you love great stories, great characters, getting the feels, love triangles that don't make you want to punch things... The list goes on! Read it! Go on you know you want to!
