Review: Proposing To Preston by Katy Regnery

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Series: The Winslow Brothers (book 2) - The Blueberry Lane Series (Book 8)

Publication Date: 7th July 2015

Format: ebook

Preston Winslow has a heart as open as the sky and room in his life for someone special. When he falls in love with Broadway actress, Elise Klassan, he holds nothing back.

Elise, who has made tremendous sacrifices to forward her career, is swept off her feet by handsome, charming Preston...but the stage has been her first love for so many years, she doesn't know if there's room for Preston in her life. When the day comes that she must choose between her ambition and her heart, she profoundly hurts the one man who could have made her happy.

Two years later, Elise has become a world-famous actress and Preston is a very successful lawyer. But fame has not equaled happiness for Elise, and Preston is much too bitter and cynical to ever consider falling in love again.

Is it possible that the only person who can mend Preston's heart is the one who originally broke it? Only if Elise can figure out a way to make him believe in love all over again.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

My Thoughts:

Katy is an author who can do no wrong for me. Her books are so vibrant, so wonderful, so full of life they absorb you into the story and don't spit you out again until the last word is read. Seriously, don't start one of these books if you need an early night or have work to do or whatever, for it ain't happening.
Proposing to Preston is another example of this wonderful gift.

It is a story of two parts. Part one is in the past and shows how Preston and Elise meet, fall in love and... Well read it and find out.
Part two focuses on their re-union a few years later and OH MAN the feels!! The feels... I was in the feels are hurting me heaven with part two. Seriously. It was awesome.

Anyone who loves a good, sweet, romance with major feels and a dash of good 'n' dirty sex thrown in has got to read this book. Don't worry about it being part of a series - although I totally recommend you read them too - it can be read as a standalone (with only a few minor 'spoilers') so you can get stuck straight in!
