Series: The Dive Bar (Book 1)
Publication Date: 19th April 2016
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.
Lydia Green doesn't know whether to burn down the church or sit and cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.
Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she'd marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong-maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.
After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Oh my God guys! How much did I love this book? I’ll tell you how much I loved this book, LOTS!
It was Kylie Scott at her best!
I was seriously worried after reading Ben’s book (different series with hooks into this new one), cause I kinda hated it… But my interest was piqued by Vaughan so what was a girl to do but actually read the dudes book?
So I read it and I think Lydia and Vaughan may have become my favourite Kylie Scott couple.
Seriously, I loved them.
I loved the humour, banter, emotion and awesome chemistry that existed between them. I loved them as individuals, but loved them more as a couple. I loved the secondary characters and I loved the Dive Bar setting (which felt like a character all of its own).
Basically I loved this book and think everyone who likes sexy, funny, books should read it.
My only grumble is the timescale the book is set over… It’s all very fast but hey-ho! Life is crazy sometimes and this book captures that sentiment perfectly.
Can’t wait for the next one!
